Be captivated by the beauty of Canigao Island Resort near my home place. It’s located at the municipality of Matalom, province of Leyte, Philippines near the City of Maasin in Southern Leyte. This is truly one of the loveliest spots I’ve known. And, I know by just a glimpse from your eye, your mind already tells you “I should go and visit this resort!” To get there, go to any banca operator in Matalom. A 20-minute motorized banca ride will bring you from their port to the island for fifty (50) pesos each. Twenty (20) pesos each is also collected for entrance fee.

MAIN ATTRACTIONS        

With its cool ambiance, you’ll inevitably pack your things up and stay here for a day or two. Surely you’ll love its clean and calm waters, beautifully grown trees and even its fine white sand as well. In the afternoon, you’ll see the radiance of sunset where you could also take a picture if you’d love to. And, don’t you worry because they have their comfortably made nipa hut cottages and tree houses that will complete your perfect stay here!

Aside from its attractive waters, trees and sand, the area is also known for abundant fishing grounds and scenic coral reefs. A lot of people especially foreigners have visited and appreciated this beach resort.

Playing volleyball, eating, scuba-diving, boating, wave surfing, playing guitar, castle-making, listening songs from your phones, enjoying the bonfire and a lot more are all here! You can merely do and experience the things you want in just one perfect place.
